Wait, social media is accessible now right? And it was created for us to fill our own curiosities therefore I guess everyone started to rephrase it into this:
“Click, before you think.”
One click on social media and all your thoughts and ideas will be shared to billions of people yet be also ready for the criticisms that you might receive as what you see aren’t all the truth, social media is indeed cavernous.
Back at 50’s to 70’s we do all know that the technology is not yet well formed. Living in this era you have to write continuously so you could communicate to someone you are apart with. If it is not because of the rise of Digital Revolution, the adaption and production of technology, we are still in this point barely coping in eloquent therefore several people was thankful for the modernization they have given, yet as years had passed, while everyone was engaging into this, adoring the supremacy and influence of technology, the rise of social media had begun to erupt too therefore people took this an opportunity to build a job by interactions, to definitely have a freedom therefore they could speak about their notions.
Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and there are still so many apps which continues to rule the social media nowadays, and billions of people were indeed up to it. As days goes by with the use of these apps we should really thank the creators for upgrading the internet because it really broadens are minds and they made us aware to things, but the more that we were engaged to something new and the freedom was much given to people aren’t we going to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of social media to us too?
From the moment we became freshmen and seniors, I know from our technology subjects we’ve all surely been reminded and got an advices constantly on how the responsible use of social media should also be part of our lives because it is not just all about fun, behind these upgraded apps, behind the advancement of technology they also brought dangerous acts and these are the cases:
CYBERBULLYING
Cyberbullying can include:
- Sending mean texts or IMs to someone
- Pranking someone’s cell phone
- Hacking into someone’s gaming or social networking profile
- Being rude or mean to someone in an online game
- Spreading secrets or rumours about people online

Doing these actions on the internet has a terrible impact to a person that’s why the government started to implement strict laws and the example of this is the Under House Bill 5718, or the proposed “Anti Cyber-Bullying Act of 2015,” which cyber-bullies shall face a penalty of fines ranging from P50,000 to P100,000, or imprisonment between six months and six years, or both, at the discretion of the court.
INTERNET CRIMES AND MURDERS
Sadly, every minute, every month crimes and murders with the use of social media never really stops. The incidents were just increasing. Mostly, the targets here are the teenagers who were fond into entering illegal apps or cite which caused alleged danger to their lives. The victim’s usual causes of death are they have obsessive stalkers, they were talking to strangers on the internet, and they easily put their trust into someone by giving their personal information, leading them into an appalling death.
SPREADING FAKE NEWS
This indeed a vital issue especially in the present life and modern world as everyone now is an easy-prey, people around the world were easily captivated by others opinion without studying these kind of words profusely. There are websites that keep on spreading news about erroneous political assumptions, lives of famous actors-sending such edited nudes and scandals, global issues that lead this people into big fake drama’s which brings chaos and commotion, that’s why the victims of this cases are receiving numerous death threats, hurtful words causing them to suffer mentally and have panic attacks to people who definitely believed in all of the lies these fake account’s had created.
No one could control this kind of issues that is why we should not be deceived undoubtedly on what we just heard and had seen on social media. It is better to consult the other legal websites before we associate and set our own notions in the issues on the internet.
Social Media is an entertainment and it is fun to use with since the more we explore, we also discovered so many things yet always remember that the various news feed that we received everyday might be irrepressible, and the information’s weren’t always trustable therefore it is better for us to have a copious knowledge and wisdom in order to be responsible in managing our social media’s.
Be a light and inspiration to others rather than pursuing to be immoral, the world is already wicked and corrupt do you still want to be part of this? Technology was utterly created for people to have an easy access in life and even in eloquent, it wasn’t just meant to use as unethical deed; your behavior matters, everyone’s lives matters especially in managing the social media since billion of people keep relying on this.

Through the use of social media we have already given a chance to have an extreme freedom especially in sharing our thoughts and opinions, might as well use this in a way where we would see ourselves striving as we did the act of integrity and reliability. Never stop on chasing the good one, it would not be a burden if we will just accept and obey the responsibility of being a good user of social media.
